Pencil Through Borrowed Bill

This is placed over a piece of paper of the same size and creased in half. A pencil is pushed through the note and the paper. The crease is opened out, and the audience can see the pencil going right through the borrowed note and the paper from both sides. The pencil can now be pulled away, ripping through the note and paper at the crease. Yet when they are opened out again, the ordinary paper is found to be ripped as one would expect, but the note is intact and totally unharmed.

The entire effect is so clean and convincing, that the audience can't believe their eyes. Yet it is quite easy to perform, requiring only a few handling trials on your part.

Penny Smasher with Coins

The performer shows a penny and a small plastic box. Placing the penny on the table (or his hand), he smashes the penny with the box. Instantly, the penny is transformed into two miniature pennies! When the box is opened, inside is a full-sized penny with two holes in it - just large enough to hold the miniature pennies!

Effect with US-coins:
Show a quarter and a borrowed penny, which can even be marked by a spectator. Place the penny in your jacket and the quarter on your palm. With a magical gesture, the quarter disappears in full fiew and the penny appears in its place! Both hands are otherwise empty! The quarter is now found in your jacket pocket! A spectator can immediately take the penny and will confirm that it's the one he marked before!

This is an oldie, but goodie brought back from the past. Brought back from years gone by comes Steve Dusheck's Quick Change.

Steve gave Definitive Magic permission to release this classic coin effect. We're very excited about this one! Here's the effect:
You concluded your favorite coin routine. Explain to the audience how easy it is for a magician to skillfully manipulate coins. Suppose he were to isolate a half dollar. This said, you remove a bulldog clip from your pocket. Clip the half dollar inside. Your fingertips hold the handle of the clip. Have a spectator hold out their hand. On their command you release the coin. Instantly and visibly the half dollar turns into two quarters that fall into their hand. Man, is this strong!

Raven Mint

Show a blank metal disk on both sides. Place it on a table or even in a spectator's hand. Show your hands front and back, then wave one over the disk and it visibly mints, becoming a real coin! The coin can be examined and your hands can again be shown front and back. This effect is to be used with a Raven.
