Spook Light by E. W. Bud Morris
Spook Light by E. W. Bud Morris
The earliest recorded reference we can find for this effect is by E. W. Bud Morris, who described the idea in his "Magic With Electronics" (1973) as the Brain Wave Lamp. The earliest commercial version was probably Bob Ostin's Beam Shot in the mid 1970's with subsequent versions under various names like Laser Light.

This model incorporates the better features of the original item, plus some! Basically this is a pocket torch, which works in the normal way. You can give it to a spectator for examination, and he can switch it off and on. However, the torch can also be switched on and off secretly by the performer whenever he so wishes. The uses of the prop are only limited by your imagination, but we give some ideas in this manuscript as a starting point.

We supply you the special torch complete and ready to use. The only requirement is a pair of penlight batteries, (regular AA size) which must be inserted in the torch.
