The effect of this trick is not new. A spectator selects a card from a shuffled deck. The selected card is replaced in the middle of the pack, which is then placed on the table. Eerily, the pack cuts itself, as if moved by a ghost hand. The card cut to is the very same card selected by the spectator.

There are no forces. Any of the 52 cards can be freely selected, and the effect can be repeated with a different card for every selection. The very card selected is cut to, and it can be signed if you wish.

In the traditional method, string or invisible thread was used for the visible cutting action. This new model is self contained, with the clever cutting mechanism built into the joker in the pack. As a result, there is no set up or advance preparation involved, and you can perform the effect any time, just remove the deck from it's case, shuffle it, and perform your effect.
