Jumping Silk or Knot on Rope

The performer displays a length of red rope, with three yellow knots. Tied in the knot to the right is a silk. The rope is passed behind the performer's back and the silk has jumped to the knot to the left. It goes behind the back once again, and the silk has jumped back to the knot on the right. You milk this for what it is worth, as the audience tell you you are simply transferring the rope from hand to hand, so that the silk appears at opposite ends.

You appear offended at the suggestion that you are cheating so brazenly. You pass the rope behind your back once again, and this time the silk has jumped to the knot in the middle. And you can immediately toss everything to the audience, and they can examine the rope, silk and knots without a clue to the magic.

The apparatus supplied includes the special knitted rope, silk, and full instructions.

Middle Diddle Silk

This is repeated again, and the audience soon tells you that you are turning the board around behind your back, and the end sections are differently colored on the opposite sides of the board.

The performer appears aghast at the insinuation, and passes the board behind his back once again. When this is brought to the front it is found that the silk is now tied through the hole in the middle of the board, proving the silk really does jump magically from hole to hole!

Naughty Silks by G. Sparks

You have a black, waiter style tip tray, which has three different brightly colored glasses resting on it. There is a 9 inch white silk with a knot tied in its middle which may be placed into any one of the glasses. But, the Naughty Silk never stays put! At any moment, under your complete control, the silk magically jumps from one glass to another right before their eyes!

This effect uses all the old bits, like having the silk jump from one side to the other just by turning the tray 180 degrees. The beauty of this trick is that it packs small, plays big and really is a fun routine, with lots of audience involvement! Complete and ready to work.

Polka Dot Shower

A black silk covered with white dots is passed through the fist. All the dots disappear leaving a plain black silk. The spots wiped off the silk are tossed up and flutter down, making an attractive display, like snowflakes. Made with specially printed pure silk, with spots and instructions.

You show a small silk and slowly push it into your closed hand. You do this very visibly. When the silk is completely inside the hand you open it the silk has been turned into a Vernet Ball. A bag with spots on it is shown to be empty inside. A solid blue silk and white silk are placed in the bag. When the silks are removed, the blue silk has white spots on it and the white silk has blue spots on it! When the bag is shown on the inside, there is a dog named Spot! Square and Circle Production

Performer displays a tube, which the audience can see right through. He first produces silks, flowers, tibbons etc. from the empty tube. The tube is shown empty again and placed in another square tube with a decorated cut out front, and another large production made, which could include real fruits, or even a live rabbit.

The Square Circle measures 10 Inch (25 cm) in height and 7.5 Inch (19 cm) in width.
