Needle Through Balloon, Plus 12 Balloons

Defying the known laws of nature always makes for an interesting magical demonstration, and many magicians have perhaps performed the Needle Through Balloon effect, using a specially prepared balloon for the purpose.

A different method, using balloons and a long needle which can both be examined by the audience has been a very hot item. In effect performer displays a balloon and a large needle some 18 inch long. A spectator may examine the balloon, and blow it up himself. The long needle with a ribbon threaded through it is passed completely through the balloon, which can then again be handed out for examination. Even when you do this, you will be surprised with the results.

We supply you the specially made 18 inch long stainless steel needle and ribbon, a dozen special balloons that blow up to 12 inch in diameter, and full instructions in a neat box. Each balloon can be used only once, but the impact on the audience is well worth the price of the full outfit. We recommend this very highly. Nut and Bolt Escape

Three bolts with colored sleeves are shown to match 3 cards. A card is chosen and the color remembered by the helper.

The three bolts are shown and dropped into a clear plastic bottle that is then held by the helper. When the helper opens their hand, the colored bolt that matches the card is missing from the bottle.

Pencil Through Borrowed Bill

This effect has become a very popular one with Magicians, ever since David Copperfield presented it on one of his TV Spectaculars. It is the visual, and incredible penetration of a borrowed note or bill, by an ordinary pencil, with everything performed in front of their eyes. In effect the performer borrows a note.

This is placed over a piece of paper of the same size and creased in half. A pencil is pushed through the note and the paper. The crease is opened out, and the audience can see the pencil going right through the borrowed note and the paper from both sides. The pencil can now be pulled away, ripping through the note and paper at the crease. Yet when they are opened out again, the ordinary paper is found to be ripped as one would expect, but the note is intact and totally unharmed.

The entire effect is so clean and convincing, that the audience can't believe their eyes. Yet it is quite easy to perform, requiring only a few handling trials on your part.

Psychic Aces Jumbo

Performer shows four jumbo size Aces (Ace of Spades, Ace of Hearts, Ace of Clubs and Ace of Diamonds) to the spectators. He mixes the cards and puts them inside four envelopes, so that the spectators cannot keep track of which one is which. He also displays four small size Aces and mixes them. He puts them inside the four envelopes with the jumbo cards, according to the free choice of the spectators. When he removes the jumbo and small size Aces from the envelopes the suites of every pair match!

No forces - easy to do with the special props supplied.

Psychic Chips by Sam Dalal

The performer shows four white chips and four red chips. The chips are inset with black and white discs (white spots on red chips and black spots on white chips) on the back, and have different colored spots on the front.

The chips are placed on the table, with the different colored spots on top. The four red chips are now turned over so that only the white spots show. The four white chips are placed in a row with the colored spots showing.

A spectator is asked to first shuffle around the red chips so that nobody knows which colored chip is where. He is than asked to try and guess which colored spot is at the bottom of each red chip. You place his selection, color unseen on top of the corresponding white chip. For example, he may think that the first chip is blue and you place it on the white chip with the blue spot. The next on the green and so on. The magician explains that his chances of having correctly matched all the four colors by coincidence are almost nil. However, the magician has temporarily gifted the spectator with psychic power. When the red chips are now turned over, the spectator can see that each and every color is perfectly matched.

Quarter Penetration

The visible penetration of one solid through another.

The magician places a quarter on the lid of the box pictured above. Covering the coin with a playing card, the magician taps the lid of the box. The coin penetrates the box top. Removing the card from the lid shows the spectators that no duplicate coins were used to accomplish the effect.
