Color Telepathy, Mental Trick by Werry

After a deck of cards is thoroughly shuffled by a spectator, the magician displays three different colored rectangle plates, which are placed onto a stand.

Sets of three cards are removed from the shuffled deck and placed in front of each colored plate. The magician takes the cards from one of the colored plates chosen by the spectator and shows their values.

The spectator is then asked to choose one of the cards, and the other two are eliminated. There is no force of the chosen card, no process of elimination, but a totally free choice.

Any set of cards and color can be chosen. Next, an envelope containing a prediction is opened. This envelope has been in full view the entire time. The prediction is removed with the correct card written in bold letters!

Comedy Funnel, Super

Similar to the Comedy Funnel in effect, but larger and working on a different method. This funnel permits you to produce a large quantity or water or other liquid from any part of a spectator's body, or anywhere else you wish.

Have a small boy drink a glass full of water. Now ask him to pump his arms up and down, as you touch the funnel to various parts of his body, and he sprouts a leak wherever you touch him. You call up a spectator on stage and state you are going to have him BRAIN WASHED. Pour soap water into one ear with the help of a MILK JUG through the funnel. Then hold the funnel to the other ear and have the water emerge from the funnel. If the water that emerges is dirtier in color, you can explain that the spectator has a dirty mind!

Draw a cow on a slate. Pretend to milk it into the funnel, and have real milk pour out of the funnel at the bottom. Or you could draw a bottle, and pour out the appropriate drink. If you are not much of an artist, you could even show an ad for a drink in a magazine, and pour out the drink from the picture via the funnel.

These are just a few ideas, from which you can milk out a lot of laughs or mystery. Use your imagination and you will find many other uses for this excellent magical prop.

Connection (Large) by Kreis Magic

When the performer pulls the boy tag down, the girl tag rises as if they are connected. But the center part of the rod is transparent, so audience can see that there is no string between the two tags.

Four Color Changing Foulard

You show a Foulard held at the corners, and stretched flat between your hands. The Foulard is shown clearly on both sides. You whip it, and the Foulard changes into an entirely different color, and is again shown on both sides. This is repeated again, and again, so that the same Foulard has been displayed on both sides in four different colors. And if you wish you could reverse the process, and have it go through another series of color changes, as often as you wish.

We supply the special mechanical foulard that makes the effect possible. If you use a pinch of confetti with each change, this will fly out when you whisk the Foulard, making for a nice visual effect. If the confetti is of the same color as the color of the Foulard being transformed, it will create an impression as if you are whipping away the colors.

You could perform this as a running Gag between tricks. After each effect, you announce "and now for my next effect, the famous color changing bandana...". You change just one color, leaving the Foulard on clear view, so that there is no suspicion of an exchange. The fact that the Foulard changes to a different color every time you repeat this will enhance the mystery, as you repeat it.

Two of the spectators take part in this trick. Each of them takes a card and remembers its rank and suit. The performer chooses a card, too. He signs his name on a sticker and places it on the face of his card. The two volunteers do the same thing. Their selected cards are replaced into the deck and the deck is inserted halfway into its case. The magician pushes the deck all the way and takes a pause. Then he tilts the case to slide out the deck. The magician's selection has appeared on the face of the deck. He puts it aside. Without any suspicious move, the deck is inserted again into the case. He tilts the case and the deck slides out with one of the spectators' cards on the face!

Of course, it has a spectator's signature. The performer repeats the above procedure to reveal the second spectator's card. The deck is spread to prove it is regular.

Hippity Hop Rabbits, Mini

The covers are moved around, and the rabbits are found to have exchanged places. This is repeated a number of times, and your audience believes they have caught you out. They inform you that the rabbits are White on one side and Black on the other, and you are merely turning them around to change places.

Finally you turn the two rabbits around, and show that they are not Black and White as the audience believes, but two entirely different colors Red and Green.

These are a mini size about 6 inch tall and made of plastic.

Tube And Canister Mystery

The performer displays two tubes, colored red and white, and a blue can with a cover which fits in the tubes. Some personal articles are borrowed from members of the audience, like a handkerchief, watch etc. and placed in the canister. This is proof that the canister cannot be changed for a duplicate. The canister is then covered by one of the tubes. Magically it passes to under the other tube. The canister is opened and the borrowed items returned to the spectators.

What is Edward Crawford's Ultra Vision Principle? If I wanted to expose the secret I could tell you in one sentence but I have no desire to expose the secret. So I will have to describe it in other ways. First of all it is a gimmick or a device that enables you to perform true miracles. It is probably easiest of all to take a typical effect for which it can be used. You can use Ultra Vision for the perfect Psychometry routine. You take a number of very clearly completely blank cards pieces of card and they can be examined under a microscope and are free of pencil marks or nail nicks or any of the traditional methods of marking the cards used for a psychometry test. You give out the cards to a number of spectators and you give one of the spectators a black cloth bag. Each of the spectators can draw or write something on the card that they are given. Once this has been done all the cards are collected by one of the group of spectators and dropped into a black cloth bag which is supplied. The cards are mixed up in the bag and it is handed to you. You then reach into the bag and draw out a card and instantly tell the person who wrote or drew upon it something about themselves and then you accurately identify the spectator and hand the card to him or her. And you do that with as many cards as you choose to work with.

Now with every other psychometry routine such as this the cards have to be marked so that you know which spectator wrote what or drew on that card and you have to find the markings in good light or poor light and they can be as simple as a few pencil dots or marks made with your nail along the edges of the cards.

The spectators cannot take the cards home with them as souvenirs and they certainly cannot compare their card with other cards used but... with the Ultra Vision Principle the cards CAN be taken home as souvenirs. The cards can be examined and the cards can be compared with the other cards used. There is absolutely nothing to be seen, sniffed, or felt. The cards just seem to be what they are; just simple pieces of card. The Ultra Gimmick does all the work for you. It cannot be seen at work but work away it does. One of the effects supplied consists of five ESP cards and they are laminated and have plain white card backs. The cards can be examined thoroughly and compared with each other. If you placed them all face down on the table you would have to be a miracle worker or have second sight to be able to say which card is which. Here is what you do. You show and envelope and have it examined and have a card placed inside and you ask the audience if there is any way in which the card can be seen through the envelope and, as it can't be seen through the envelope the answer is very clear. When one of the cards is in the envelope it can not be seen at all. Now you turn your back and ask one of the spectators to take any one of the cards and place it face down into the envelope. When the other cards are hidden away so as not to give you any clues you turn round and either pick up the envelope and seal it and give it to a spectator to hold or you just basically push it across the table and ask someone to cover it with their hand. And in that very split second the Ultra Vision Gimmick tells you exactly what the card is in the envelope. It is as simple as that and it is not electronic or radio-controlled or anything like that. There is nothing that sends out a signal that can be picked up as with some of the very sensitive and complex radio controlled apparatus that one can buy nowadays. If you choose, instead of having the chosen card placed in an envelope, you can wrap it up in a handkerchief and hand it to the spectator to hold so that no-one can see what the card is ... yet you know instantly. If you choose to you can get a pack of blank-backed playing cards and you can instantly identify any one of the 53 cards in the pack in exactly the same way.

The gimmick is ingenious and completely original. If handled correctly it is completely invisible and unseen. It is very cleverly made and staggeringly ingenious. It is something that every magician knows about but it has been very cleverly modified and changed. The photographically-illustrated instructions are just under 5000 words in length. They detail quite a number of effects you can perform and as soon as you start reading you will discover other ways you can use the Ultra Vision Principle. Yes it is a special system for marking things. Yes it is invisible. Yes you can perform using it on a stage or right under their eyes. Yes, I knew about the secret method but when Edward Crawford showed me an effect using the principle I did not have a single clue about it all. He used the scientific principle we had discussed a week or two earlier and he still fooled me. That is how good it is.
