Useless Resistance by Katsuya Masuda

The magician spreads a deck of cards face up. Then he squares the deck and spreads it face down. The performer turns around and a spectator chooses a card among the spread. Without looking at its face, the spectator hides the card and squares the deck. The performer turns to the spectators and puts the deck into the card case. He takes out a piece of paper and place it on the card case. Then he writes a prediction on the paper using the card case held in his hand as a hard surface. When he finishes writing, he folds the paper and place it on the table in full view. The spectator produces the card he selected and shows its face. The paper is unfolded to show that the prediction matches the selected card.

Utility Switch Deck

As the name suggests this is a deck of cards with versatile applications in close-up magic. To all appearances it is an ordinary deck of cards, which can be fanned and displayed, and shuffled. However, a small block of cards has been very cleverly gimmicked to make possible some excellent productions, vanishes, or exchanges of Coins, small Keys or other similar objects. The original deck was designed for a simple coin effect by Magician G. Srinivas of Kakinada. Realizing the potential of the basic idea, we are putting our think tank to work on this, and made some modifications which enabled several routines to be performed with this. All these routines are illustrated and outlined in a 12 page booklet, to enable you to get the best from this prop. Vanishing Deck, Bicycle

The magician takes out a box from his pocket, which houses a deck of cards. The box has a cut out window on top and an opening at one end. The card case is clearly visible through the window and opening of the box. He takes out the card case from the box and leaves the box on the table. He opens the case and removes a card, say the Nine of Diamonds. He declares that he will insert this card inside the card case over the rest of the cards. He states that he will replace the case inside the box, and cause the Nine of Diamonds to penetrate the whole deck, the case, and the box and drop out. His actions follow his words. But nothing seems to happen.

Confused, he turns the box over and to everyone's surprise the entire deck of cards have disappeared, leaving the box completely empty! You can, instead of making the deck of cards disappear, change it into a matchbox, a silk or a miniature deck. This is very easy to do. Comes ready to work, with instructions.

Visual Transformation by Katsuya Masuda

The performer introduces a deck of cards. It is spread face up on the table to show there is nothing funny about it. The cards are squared and turned face down.

Two of the spectators take part in this trick. Each of them takes a card and remembers its rank and suit. The performer chooses a card, too. He signs his name on a sticker and places it on the face of his card. The two volunteers do the same thing. Their selected cards are replaced into the deck and the deck is inserted halfway into its case. The magician pushes the deck all the way and takes a pause. Then he tilts the case to slide out the deck. The magician's selection has appeared on the face of the deck. He puts it aside. Without any suspicious move, the deck is inserted again into the case. He tilts the case and the deck slides out with one of the spectators' cards on the face!

Of course, it has a spectator's signature. The performer repeats the above procedure to reveal the second spectator's card. The deck is spread to prove it is regular.

Where is it? by Fantasio

The magician takes from his pocket a card holder wallet. He opens it, showing cards inside the transparent compartment He removes three playing cards, showing two Jokers that are placed face down on the table and a Blank Card that is placed face down half way inside the wallet.

Then he asks; "Where is the Blank Card?" The answer will be in the wallet. Next you remove the Blank card from your wallet and place it face down between the two face down Jokers. Mixing the three cards around with your fingertips, you ask him again; "Where is the Blank card?" The audience will be amazed because the three cards are now Jokers and the Blank card has vanished! With the special wallet supplied you can perform many other effects.

Whirling Hummer Card Trick by Bob Hummer

Imagine having a card selected from any deck and tossing it into the air. Instead of fluttering to the ground, the card spins from one hand to the other!

With another toss, the card hovers between the magician's hands, spinning like a flying saucer. A wide variety of arial acrobatics are possible with this flying card. Finally, for a fantastic finale, the card spins around the magician's body entirely. It is then replaced in the deck, which can be handed out for examination.

There's obviously a good reason why this trick has become so popular. Whispers Four Times Three by John Mendoza

John Mendoza has always stated that magic must be simple. That is, the effect must be so simple that the spectators need not make any mental effort to understand what effect took place.

I feel that if an effect can be just that PLUS have a totally unexpected kicker climax that also requires no thought or figuring out on the part of the spectators, you have a perfect piece of magical entertainment. This routine is just that.

It begins with a simple puzzle type trick that is quite befuddling. Your audience will unsuccessfully try to figure it out. This is followed with an excellent transposition which seems to be a surprise finish, but then you really stun the audience with a totally unexpected additional climax.

Three cards are chosen and placed face down on the table, sight unseen. Anyone now names any one of the three face cards, Jacks, Queens or Kings and the performer states that the chosen face cards will whisper the identities of the three selections. The reason for using face cards is that they are the only cards able to whisper since no other cards have mouths. We'll assume the Queens are chosen.

The four Queens then proceed to reveal each of the three selections. Then three of the Queens change into the selections and for a final killer climax the remaining four cards, thought to be the Queens, unexpectedly become the four Aces!

No gimmicks and you are able to perform with any deck, any time! Demo DVD also included.

White Bikes by Paul Richards

A Triple Whammy Effect! You begin by laying a blue backed prediction card face down on the table. Then you display a red backed deck back and front. And with the help of a spectator, the magic begins...You ask the spectator to give a number of their own choosing.

They now use that number to select a card. The remainder of the deck is placed off to the side and the prediction is now turned over to reveal that it matches the spectator's card!

But it's not perfect match because the selection has a red back and the prediction is blue...you respond, "No problem!" and with a snap of your fingers both cards now have blue backs! The audience is certainly impressed, but you explain that the prediction you can understand, where all the other cards went is another matter... and with that you turn over the remainder of the deck to reveal all the faces are blank!

Wild Cards, Card Trick by Peter Kane

The effect is unbelievable.

It uses nine cards, eight of the cards are identical, say Queen of Diamonds. And the last card is an odd or Wild Card, say Seven of Spades. One at a time the Wild Card, when placed with the QH card, changes them to the odd card, the 7S. You are left with nine 7S cards at the end.

Wild Monte by Boris Wild

An ultra-commercial Three Card Monte in which the back of the money card changes color throughout the routine, much to the audience's despair! The procedure seems incredibly clean and above-board. There are no fast or funny moves to confuse the spectators.
