Traffic Lights Changing Spots

The apparatus supplied is self contained and ready to work. You can perform this as a simple color change. The apparatus is designed to simulate a set of traffic lights. Show the board with three red lights, as you tell the audience you took a short cut to the show, and found yourself at a dead end. You did not want to be late, so you snapped your fingers, and the lights change magically to a regular traffic light, and the way open so you could make it to the show on time! You could use two of these Color Changing Traffic Lights with two envelopes, to perform a Passe Passe type effect. Board with three red spots placed on one side, board with three different colored spots placed on opposite side instantly change places. Effect could be repeated enough as you wish. Since the change is under your control, you could always prove the audience wrong, regardless of where they say the respective spots are.

The apparatus is very easy to use, and with a little effect you could build it into a presentation for your kind of magic.

Tricky Business by Peter Eggink

A spectator freely selects a card (NO force), and signs it across the face. The card is then shuffled back into the pack. Next, the magician introduces some business/address stickers, and explains that these stickers have actually a mind of their "own". One sticker is placed on the back of an indifferent card. Magically the sticker starts to "jump" onto random cards in the pack. Finally, the sticker vanishes in a visual and magical manner.

The magician explains that the sticker will magically "find" the spectator selection. As the magician says so, he spreads the deck and the sticker arrived -NOT on the back- but on the FACE of the spectator's selection, right across their signature! Of course the spectator can keep the card as an amazing unique souvenir!

The stars influence your character, and effects using birth signs are of natural interest to spectators.

In this effect the performer displays four visiting size cards, with random Zodiac designs on their faces. The backs of the cards have all the twelve Zodiac designs. A spectator is asked to select his own or someone else's sign of birth.

He places the cards which have his selected design in your pocket, discarding the others face down on the table. The magician can reveal the selected design without looking at the faces of the cards, or asking any questions.

Coloring Book, Cute Monster

The performer displays a children's magic coloring book with black and white pictures, the kind you just paint over with water, and the pictures magically appear. The children are asked to try and color the pictures by real magic, using their imagination, instead of water. They are told to rub their fingers on the colors on their clothes, and throw the colors at the book. When the book is now displayed, all the pictures have been fully colored. The performer congratulates the audience on their magic abilities, and excellent artistic talents.

However, he states he has to perform the same trick again for another show the next day, and since they have colored all the pictures, there will be no pictures left for the children to color at his next performance. He asks his audience to help him erase some of the colors with imaginary "magic" erasers. The children pantomime rubbing off the colors, and when the book is flipped through again, it is found to be entirely blank.

Obviously they used too much magic. The performer requests them to draw some of the pictures with imaginary pencils. When the book is again flipped through, the black and white pictures are back in the book, ready for the next performance.

In fact, each one is an entirely different magic prop.

Instant Kubick, Rubiks Cube in 10 Seconds

Performer displays a mixed up Rubiks Cube all around. It is seen to be with all the colors mixed on all six sides. He holds the cube in one hand, and a handkerchief in front of the cube with the other. When the handkerchief is removed a moment later, the cube is fully solved with all the colors separated on the six sides.

The cube can be shown freely on all sides. You could also do this behind your back or under the table. Holding a handkerchief in one hand, and the cube in the other makes it more mystifying, and both your hands seem to be occupied. You could also perform the effect, single handed, without the handkerchief, in which case it is more of an intriguing novelty rather than a magical effect.

Pull out the cube from some production prop in the mixed state, look at it, solve it with one hand in an instant and place it aside.
