You place the tag into the spectator's other hand. You then explain that you are going to make "nothing" move from one location to another. The spectator opens the hand with the tag and the hole that was once there, is now gone! The "nothing" has vanished! Stranger still, when the spectator opens her other hand she discovers that "nothing" really has moved! She finds not one, but TWO holes in the key she has been holding the entire time!

Life and Limb

For centuries, lives and body parts have been wagered and lost in a bizarre game called, Life and Limb!

The magician offers to play a game which has been theorized to be the source of the phrase "to risk one's life and limb." An envelope is placed on the table and five cards are dealt out, each of which have a body part drawn on them. The magician explains that if the spectator selects any card on the table that doesn't match the one in the envelope, they win and earn the magician's life. However, if they select the same card as the one in the envelope, the magician gets one of their limbs. Those are pretty good odds, four for them and one for you. You even make the game easier by letting the spectator see some of the cards! They freely choose one, ending on the card with a finger drawn on it. However, in the end they cheat fate and retain their finger!

Once done you remove a giant playing card from an envelope. With dramatic flair you turn the card around and there is the spectators card! Along with the other 51 cards that are printed on it (this gets a great laugh).

But wait there's more. Offer to repeat the effect, only this time you take out a marker pen and make a large X on one of the 52 cards. Your spectator is now requested to think of another card and when you turn the giant card around your spectator's choice is the only card with an X on it!

This trick may be instantly repeated if you wish.

• Crumpled notes or bills of different denominations are collected in the bag and mixed. A spectator is invited to pick out one of these. Performer mind-reads the serial number on the note.

Really Warped by Michael Maxwell

Card Warp is one of the all-time classics of card magic. In essence, a card turns inside-out - half face, half back. Normally, the card is torn in half and left for the spectators to examine, and possibly reconstruct how it's done. Michael Maxwell's Really Warped takes the effect into another dimension!

Here's what happens: A card is selected and signed by both you and a spectator, one signature on the face and one on the back. A borrowed dollar bill is then folded in half and the signed card is slid inside. Now, with no funny moves at all, you push the card through the bill and it turns inside-out - the face visibly changes into the back - and the signatures are in view the entire time! The change is repeated as many times as you wish; you can even push the card only half-way through, showing a face and a back at the same time!

Repeat Bead Cocktail

The performer displays three glasses with different colored beads in each glass. After showing the beads to be loose and separate, the beads from one glass are poured into the other. The glasses are placed mouth to mouth and shaken, so that the beads of the two glasses are totally mixed. Placing the glass behind his back for a moment, the magician´s magically separates the beads into their two different colors. This is repeated once again. Repeat Bead Cocktail is very simple to do, and requires nothing more than a few handling trials. The mechanics are into the special apparatus supplied. We supply you the three clear tumblers, and the three sets of beads in three different colors. The beads are large pearlescent ones highly visible for stage use, although the trick can be performed close-up as well.

Here is a sample effect with this prop. A ring is borrowed from a spectator, placed under a handkerchief, which is then given to the spectator to hold. The performer now introduces a Locked Miniature Chest, and the keys for this, which are given over to another spectator to hold.

The performer approaches the spectator holding the ring, and whips away the handkerchief. The ring has vanished.

He does not approach the chest. He asks the spectator holding it to open it and remove the contents. The spectator finds the borrowed ring in the chest, which the owner can positively identify as his or hers.

A snap of the fingers and the card turns inside out, making a double face card of the two chosen cards!

Spring flowers are a useful magical accessory and come in different varieties such as paper, plastic film, foil or cloth, that fold flat for loading, and spring open to make a big and colorful display when produced.
